Our natural laundry soap powder is made with coconut oil soap flakes, natural salts, and natural & essential oils. We do NOT use petrochemicals, synthetic ingredients, dyes, unnecessary fluff, or questionable additives. We firmly believe that calling something “natural” is not enough. That’s why we offer soap-based, truly clean formulas with no hidden petroleum, made with the cleaner ingredients that you always thought you were paying for. We’re outsiders in the unregulated laundry industry because we are honest and open about what we do, what we use, the choices we make and why. Our Laundry Soap dissolves best in warm or hot water, but we have a solution for those energy-saving cold water washers. We recommend dissolving one scoop of Laundry Soap in 8oz cold water (we like to shake up the mixture in a 16oz jar kept on our laundry cart). Pour the mixture into the washer drum, then add laundry and wash on cold.

Yes! Our Laundry Soap works with all kinds of washers and has been tested in HE washers specifically.

Yep! We recommend using our Fragrance Free Laundry Soap for any baby items, but our fragranced versions are natural, so they shouldn’t cause any irritation either.

Sometimes the scoop gets buried in the Laundry Soap. If you’ve done a little digging and it’s still not there, you can use 1.5 tablespoons of Laundry Soap for a standard load.

One scoop (1.5 tablespoons) should be all you need for a standard load of laundry. But what does “standard” mean? A standard load in our book means your washer isn’t stuffed to the max but is more than half full.

Simply put, detergents have hidden petroleum—even the so-called plant-based ones—and that’s not great for you or the planet. We see “plant” or “natural” and think we’re paying for safer, mostly plant ingredients that are better for earth and our health. But like the beauty industry, the laundry aisle is unregulated. Manufacturers don’t have to disclose their ingredients or do extensive testing. They can say plant powered or derived or based, even if it’s loaded with synthetics and hidden petroleum. The only reason everyone uses laundry detergent instead of soap? Higher profit for big companies. Natural laundry soap works better than detergent with no hidden petroleum and less eco impact.

Yes, our Laundry Soap products are plant based—without the hidden petroleum in other plant-based products! For the other guys, plant-based means plant + petroleum. For us, it means using truly natural, sustainable, and biodegradable ingredients that are good for you and the planet.

As for vegan, we do offer wool dryer balls made with 100% New Zealand sheep wool, so we do not offer only vegan products. However, all of the other products in our line are vegan and contain no animal-derived ingredients. They are also never tested on animals.

Yes! Soap works brilliantly well at breaking down stains, smells, microbes, and dirt. In fact, independent third-party testing shows our natural Laundry Soap works better than the leading detergent. Natural and powerful—what’s not to like?

All of our products are free from common allergens and synthetic ingredients, and they’re also Safer Choice certified and dermatologist tested to be hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin. This does not mean an ingredient will never cause an allergic reaction—any ingredient could be a potential allergen for someone—and if you do have a reaction please contact your doctor and let us know so we can refund your purchase via our 100% Happiness Guarantee. If you’ve got extra-sensitive skin, we recommend trying our fragrance free Laundry Soap Powder, because some people can have reactions to fragrances, even natural ones.

Yes. Our products are safe for general health when used as directed. Of course common sense precaution is recommended with our products and all household cleaning products. Please see product labeling for specific instructions. P.S. We’ve had a lot of parents and caregivers tell us that our Laundry Soap is a go-to for cleaning cloth diapers!

Yes, because pets are family too. Our products are safe for use around most pets, pet areas, and surfaces with which pets typically come into contact when used as directed.

You can use our products as you would most typical laundry products, in all machines and with all water temperatures. One thing to note: our laundry soap powder is designed to go directly into the barrel with your clothes, not in the detergent tray. We use only natural and essential oils from plants—never any synthetic fragrances (which are loaded with hidden petroleum). All of our products have been dermatologist tested to be hypoallergenic, including our fragranced lines. While we love the smell of our scented products, we are also committed to providing fragrance-free options for folks who are sensitive to fragrances. Because options are good!

We are proud to partner with the EPA for Safer Choice certification on our laundry soap powders and laundry soap stain stick. All of our products will be certified moving forward. Safer Choice is EPA’s label for safer products. Every ingredient, regardless of percentage, in a Safer Choice-certified product is evaluated through EPA’s rigorous scientific process and only the safest ingredients are allowed. For over 15 years, the program has certified products that are safer for families, pets, workplaces, neighborhoods, and the environment. The label represents leadership in safer product formulation.

Using polluting products is no longer an option. Full stop. That’s why all of our products are free from detergents, petroleum, dyes, artificial fragrances, synthetic preservatives that are polluting our waterways and impacting climate change. Our packaging is also fully recyclable and biodegradable—including our scoops. We’ve eliminated the big plastic jugs so often found in other laundry lines, and we’re working to reduce our plastic use as much as possible.

All orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be shipped on Monday. Orders will typically arrive within 3-5 business days after they ship. We offer free shipping on orders over $35 in the contiguous United States. We charge a flat fee for shipping on orders less than $35.
